23rd April 2009: Erry & Offaly Duo travel to inaugural World Strokeplay Championships this weekend

The Erry Club and Offaly County Board would like to wish Tracey McGrath and William Buckley Jnr. the very best of luck next weekend as they both travel to La Grande Motte, France, for the inaugural World Pitch and Putt Championship Finals. The Erry duo will be part of an 18 strong Irish contingent that will be competing for World titles at the French course that is located between the Mediterranean and the Camargue region of France. Home of the French Open, le "Challenge International", for the last six years, Les Goélands will play host to many of Pitch and Putt's top players on 24-26 April as FIPPA unveil another Pitch and Putt masterpiece - the inaugural World Strokeplay championship. There's a field of 83 in total, representing an impressive thirteen different countries. Both Tracey and William have gained valuable experience at international events over the past number of years and both have tasted international success. We hope that their recent international form at the Catalan Open in March continues through to next weekend, following which we may be toasting World Champions.
