17th January 2011: Offaly Co. Board A.G.M. & Offaly Club Alliance Tees Off

Offaly Club Alliances 2011: The first Club Alliance of 2011 successfully teed off on Sunday afternoon in rare calm and dry conditions. Almost 30 players took to the Erry Pitch & Putt course with the following teams recording the top scores in this week's scramble format: Winners of the 36 Nett with a score of 67 were Billy Buckley Snr. (Erry), Seanie Buckley (Erry) and Simon Bracken (Tullamore) and the winners of the 36 Gross with a score of 82 were Larry Maher Jnr. (Erry), John Meehan (Erry) and Liam Bastic (Ferbane). Many thanks to the Erry for hosting the first of the Club Alliances. The second Alliance will take place next Sunday, January 23rd, in Tullamore Pitch & Putt Club.

Offaly Co. Board A.G.M.: The County's A.G.M. took place on Wednesday last in Tullamore Pitch & Putt Club and the following officers were elected:

Treasurer - Una Pyke (Tullamore)

Gents County Team Selection/Trials Committee - William Buckley (Erry), Mick Hogan (Tullamore), Joe McGrath Jnr. (Erry)
Ladies County Team Manager - Una Pyke
