7th February 2011: Offaly Club Alliance Results

Offaly Club Alliance Sunday February 7th: The weekly Alliance visited the Tullamore Pitch & Putt Club on Sunday last in very overcast weather conditions; however 20 brave souls ventured out to play. The format played was a three ball scramble. The winners of the 36 Nett with a score of 60 were Tommy Murphy (Ferbane), Gary Pyke (Tullamore) and B. Nugent (Ferbane). The winners of the 36 Gross with a score of 78 were Mick Hogan (Tullamore) playing two balls and Ger Ryan (Ferbane). The next Alliance takes place on Sunday, February 13th, at 2p.m. sharp at Erry Pitch and Putt Club. All are very welcome. Thanks to the Tullamore committee for the refreshments provided on Sunday and the presentation of their course.



Offaly Club Alliances Sunday January 30th: Following the cancellation of the second Alliance in Tullamore last Sunday due to bad frost Ferbane played host to the third Alliance date, which saw over 30 competitors take part. The format played was a three ball scramble. The winners of the 36 Nett with a score of 55 were Larry Maher Jnr. (Erry), Mary O'Loughlan (Ferbane) and Sean Buckley (Ferbane). The winners of the 36 Gross with a score of 80 were Joe McGrath Jnr. (Erry), Una Pyke (Tullamore) and Tommy Murphy (Ferbane). Thanks to the Ferbane committee for the refreshments provided on Sunday following play and having their course available for play.
