Juveniles
Welcome to the Juvenile section of our website dedicated to our juvenile members in Offaly. This is where you will find rules, news, competition fixtures and results throughout the year.
The Offaly Pitch & Putt Co. Board is committed to the development of pitch and putt in Offaly. We believe in doing so we must retain our current playing members at all costs as well as attract new members but we also recognize that the future of our game lies with our youth. All our clubs are open to new members both adult and juvenile. We welcome all juveniles to our game.

Juveniles are children between the age of 8 and 15 years. On turning 16 years of age they enter the Adult ranks, whether as a junior, intermediate or senior depending on the handicap they receive from the PPUI. Juveniles have the choice of playing recreationally and competitively at local, county, provincial and national levels. Offaly also enter a juvenile inter-county team into the Leinster and National championships each year. Annual team trials take place during the summer months in which the top six players go on to represent their county.

Erry, Ferbane and Tullamore clubs have specified playing times for juveniles during week days and at weekends please check each club webpage for more information.
However the same rules and course behaviour apply for all juveniles in our clubs:
- Good behaviour is expected at all times
- Juveniles must comply with the rules laid down by juvenile officer, grounds staff and other club representatives or committee members
- Juveniles must offer to give way to adult members on the course
- No player should play more than two balls while playing on the course
- Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent mode while on the course
- Practicing chipping/putting on the 18th hole is forbidden
- Replace divots
- Repair plug marks
- Rake bunkers
A breach of any of the above rules may result in suspension or expulsion from the club
